Poverty...!

Here goes, I am 28, i have a daughter who is an infant. My teenage years and my early 20's i was extremely financially irresponsible. Now my past wont allow me to have a future, i'm between a rock and a hard place and i have no idea what to do..

Owed:-

Cell Phone = around $500, i had to pay a $400 deposit to get the phone, bill has been unpaid for aproximatly 8 months. I also owe $ to 3 different cell providers from my reckless teenage and early 20's.

No credit cards. No car. No house. No phone. No $. My credit score is less than 600 but more than 450.

I had to get a loan to finish college. Well the loan was a loan u pay after graduation. I didn't graduate. I have 6 classes left. The thing is my wages are being garnished by the education board or whatever for that loan. I cant get money to finish school. This debt is about $10,000.

I have loose debts from my financially irresponsible years. I would have to guess-ti-mate around $4000.

I am trapped financially. My job is a commission based sales job. my checks fluctuate from 500 - 2500 bi-weekly. Now that my wages are being garnished i cant seem to live anymore.

My rent is 650. I have to pay to take care of my kid. Im distraught. I cant get a loan to buy a house or a car, i just feel financially encarcerated. I dont know what to do. I want better for my child and myself.

How do i relieve myself of such debt, and bad credit? How do i get to a place in my life where i can get a house or a car? What do i do, to rebuild my credit? Also what do i do to save for my daughters future? or education $ for her for later in life? Then im concerned about retirement funds and such.

I just want to live a life where i im financially responsible, and i can quit running or hiding from the financial mistakes i made in my early 20's and teen years.

I would HIGHLY recommend taking Financial Peace University by Dave Ramsey. We owed over $60,000 in debt, I had to quit my job and stay home with my son who was born disabled. So we have one income. We will be totally debt free by the end of next year. We followed this plan and really worked hard to do the things in the program and now for the first time we actually have money in savings and most of our credit card bills paid. You should check it out!

The key to finding the best online savings account at the best online bank comes down to interest rates. The bells and whistles are nice but ultimately it’s about the money and the bank with the highest interest rates will win.
